A partner or a project?

Technical co-founder vs hiring a builder

A co-founder is a long-term business partner, not simply a developer paid in shares. Hiring a builder buys an agreed piece of work. Start with the relationship you actually need.

When a technical co-founder makes sense

If technology is central to a complex, continually evolving business, you may need someone who shares decisions, leads engineering and takes responsibility beyond the first release. That is a partnership question involving goals, commitment, ownership and working style.

Do not treat equity as a free build. Discuss roles, vesting, decision rights, intellectual property and what happens if someone leaves. Obtain appropriate legal advice rather than using a generic ownership split.

When buying a first version makes sense

A scoped build can suit an owner who understands the customer problem and wants to test a focused workflow without recruiting a permanent business partner. You retain the business direction and pay for an agreed deliverable.

It does not replace ongoing technical leadership where that is necessary. Plan who will maintain the app, respond to usage and decide future work after handover. A first version gives you something concrete to learn from, not proof that a business will succeed.

Where Paramount Profits fits

We help shape and build a focused custom web app, not a native mobile app or an entire enterprise platform. Start with our free software questions, then complete the idea questionnaire for a personal plan. The plan helps you understand the first version before deciding whether to buy.

The upfront option is $9,997 USD for the agreed 14-day build, starting at kickoff once scope and required access are ready. It includes a sales page, $500 of Facebook ad spend, app-use training, 12 months of standard hosting and 30 days of fixes. Upfront buyers also receive six private one-hour consultations, every two weeks for three months.

Alternatively, pay $5,500 today and $5,500 on day 30 ($11,000 total), with delivery after the final payment clears around day 30; or $3,700 today, on day 30 and on day 60 ($11,100 total), with delivery after the final payment clears around day 60. Client delays can shift delivery. Third-party usage, later features and mobile conversion are separate costs.

Common questions

Do I have to buy to get a personal software plan?

No. Complete the free software questions and the idea questionnaire for your personalised plan. A paid build is a separate decision.

Does the 14-day offer include a native mobile app?

No. It covers an agreed-scope web app that can be used in a phone browser. Native mobile conversion is a separately quoted later phase.

What should I check before choosing a builder?

Ask for a written scope, acceptance criteria, full payment schedule, code and account ownership, third-party costs, testing responsibilities and a usable handover. Read the agreement before paying.
